Chris, Elkhart, Indiana is another small town that supports a huge musical instrument manufacturing industry.

Also, it's interesting how Iran has lost much of its Western progressivism.  If you see photos or film shot in Iran from the 1960's and 1970's, you'll see contemporary clothing worn by both males and females.  If I recall correctly, Iran has a well established school system and a highly educated population.  It's such a shame they are now living under such oppressive leadership.

Dave Brubeck, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis.  Can't get better than that!

I wonder why black soldiers in WWI serving in France came back to the U.S.

I was five years old when the men in my family began to leave to build army and air force bases around the world or to join the fighting forces just after Pearl Harbor. Those were sad memories and Billie Holliday seems to catch my feelings. This song was a part of our lives.

I've been to some communist and dictatortarial countries that have loudspeakers everywhere to hear the 'leader's speaches' and mindless music piped throughout the cities and townships.

Corporate America tends to do the same thing.

I would barf if I ever heard another Kenny G music piece.

A for lack of a better word a co-woorker asked me if he could play the radio and music at work.

I said "NO!" Thinking if his mind is wandering off to music and what ever other dribble is on the radio then he isn't thinking about work.

I dropped an insurance agent because he had christmas music playing 'around that time of year.'

The stores in the small town where I used to live played christmas music during the hollidays. They didn't play music the rest of the year. After complaining for a couple of years they finally stopped the music.

There are a couple of stores in the town I live in now that play "Musac" I always complain.

Eventually companies that market to consumers will stop playing obnoxious noise that corproate headquarters view as music.

The evolution of musical instruments must be interesting.

How was a French Horn, Tuba, Trombone and other complicated instruments developed?

I lived in a small town who had a guitar repairer and manufacturer who made guitars for famous musicians.

About Mc Masters Guitars

It's interesting how small towns have great craftsman.
