Spanish guitar, the Oud, and other instruments across the  Mediterranean are nice to listen to.

Chris, I remember, vividly, the crimes committed by the U.S. against Iran. Our country may pretend we have a noble history, however, too many of us remember to make denial and delusion effective.

I heard that there were some great music stores in Indiana - mostly selling vintage instruments. I didn't know that Elkhart manufactures instruments.

Afghanistan also used to be progressive, before the USSR invaded.

Some may not know how the CIA overthrew the democratic election of Mohammad Mosaddegh in Iran.

Here's a playlist of one of the most popular and entertaining night club acts of the 1950's and 60's.  Louis Prima.

Chris, Elkhart, Indiana is another small town that supports a huge musical instrument manufacturing industry.

Also, it's interesting how Iran has lost much of its Western progressivism.  If you see photos or film shot in Iran from the 1960's and 1970's, you'll see contemporary clothing worn by both males and females.  If I recall correctly, Iran has a well established school system and a highly educated population.  It's such a shame they are now living under such oppressive leadership.

Dave Brubeck, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis.  Can't get better than that!

I wonder why black soldiers in WWI serving in France came back to the U.S.

I was five years old when the men in my family began to leave to build army and air force bases around the world or to join the fighting forces just after Pearl Harbor. Those were sad memories and Billie Holliday seems to catch my feelings. This song was a part of our lives.

Billie Holiday: I'll Be Seeing You
