Mercy, mercy, mercy! Art Tatum was the king! And I bet not 3 people in 100 have ever heard of him. Fun listening. Thanks, Carl.

90% of the music I listen to nowadays is classical. Maybe it's because of the two radio stations I can get that play a lot of it. Plus, I really enjoy the variety and talent of both composers and musicians.

While I like the usual suspects--Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, I've come to appreciate other "not so famous" composers--Carelli, Shubert, Rossini, Copeland, among many others. Still, Handel and Dvorak top the list. Such variety and so enjoyable.

Finishing up a good biography on Handel. What a prolific and gifted composer. I don't care if much of his music is religious--it's magnificent. I can't hear "For Unto Us a Child is Born" enough, this time of year (from Messiah). Did you know Handel was fluent in 4 languages?
