"Manure and wood ashes settled villages.
The living produce the living, the dead decay into compost.
While digging, dozens of worms were sliced down - victims of friendly fire.
Dearly respect the lifestyle of worms.
Some animals are always busy cleaning up the dung and dead.
The living stand on the dead.
Gratefully, shit happens!"

I think that one's powerful and true, Daniel. If I were ever to adopt a religion, Taoism is the only choice. It reminds me of this:

An economist says that essentially more for you is less for me, but the lover knows that more for you is more for me too.
If you love somebody then your happiness is about their happiness, their pain is your pain, your sense of self expands to include other human beings. That is love. Love is the expansion of the self to include the other and that is a different kind of revolution.

--Charles Eisenstein

Yeah, yeah, I know, kumbayah, love is all you need, bliss out brothers and sisters, blah blah blah.

But love is kind of kryptonite to Trumpism.

And an old classic:

An atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An atheist believes that deed must be done instead of prayer said. An atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanished, war eliminated.

Every sensible man, every honest man, must hold the Christian sect in horror.
