    Yeah, I've been following the bits about pastors that one of the guys has been posting over in the Atheist News group, for the past couple of days.  A surprising number of those are about Florida preachers.


    It depends upon what you mean by growing up here, as to whether I grew up in North Carolina.  I was born in the suburbs of Chicago and moved down here when I was 11.  So, my teen years were spent in North Carolina ... but even that was in North Raleigh, which is full of transplanted northerners.  Almost no one in the urban areas of North Carolina is actually from North Carolina.

    So, despite having lived in North Carolina for two-thirds of my life, I don't really feel like a North Carolinian.  I lived in the Chicago area long enough to cement my identity as such, and I never picked up much of the local accent, since most people's accents are pretty firmly set, by their teen years.
