Hi Natalie. Welcome to this rational world of Internet atheism----a haven from the superstitions and fictional god of the masses. Thank science for atheism.

We invite you to make good friends by joining the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Astronomy, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Gods, Atheism, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 430 discussion topics and 2500 members.

Greetings, Natalie! I'd like to invite you to a group where we talk about anything on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D

Ĉu temas pri ĉi tie, aŭ aliloke? Mi kunfondis ATEOn en 1987. Estas neaktiva ATEO-grupo ĉe Facebook.

There are two small Reno groups. I notice you're not a member. It's a place to start. Reno Atheists and Freethinkers (8 members) and Reno Freethinkers
  • Lary9

We are simpatico, I suspect. Our statuses in retirement are similar and we share at least one former 'job' (partially for me). Nice to know you...good luck with the other member of the Reno Freethinkers. I sent you a friend request. lary
  • Lary9

OIC you're not a member of the Reno Freethinkers...sorry.

    Hello Natalie!  : )
  • Steph S.

Yes, I answered the question about the hairless cat.  I told him it was a hairless breed of cat and that it looked similar to the House Elf Dobby in Harry Potter -- thus the Lolcat.  Thanks so much for your comment on my website.  : )
  • Cheryl

It drives me crazy that Republicans do that, and it often works, but not always.  So there's still hope for your election.

O, hai!  are you type 2 or type 1?  I'm a 2...I was diagnosed 10 years ago, and have been doing pretty well on 5mg Glucotrol a day.  But I haven't been behaving, and Dr. BadJokes has been trying to get me to increase the dose to 10mg.  I doan wanna.  The last time I did that I started having hypoglycemic attacks about every other day.  WTF!  It's summer!  I want ice cream and other yummy stufs!  Waddymellone, stromberries, pyneappul, an' catalope all mixed togedder. With yogurt, or cottycheez, or....hah! Sorbet, or eyescream!

I'm terrabull.  Or enjoying my second (or third) childhood.

Minnie thanks for the friend request and the advice about kitteh water fountains, I'm happy to know you!

  • Steph S.

So sorry about your lovely cat.
  • Loren Miller

YOU have some GORGEOUS kitties!  May I invite you to have a look at my guys and gals?
  • Loren Miller

Well, give a look at your leisure.  They's a pretty motley crew!
  • Steph S.

I love your cat photos!  They are beautiful!  Hope you are doing OK.  Have a restful weekend.
  • Prog Rock Girl

Thanks for adding, I was just about to add you, and yeah I feel the same way, lectures from strangers about my identity are one of those pet peeves >(
  • Patrick Moore

Thanks for taking the time to challenge my views so thoroughly!
  • Dogly

Thank you, Natalie.  I felt out of line kidnapping the Wanderer's discussion.
  • Steph S.

Congrats on your new cat Mongkut!  :  )

Hope you have a nice weekend.

Oh, Natalie, I am so sorry to hear about Sammy.  I've been there, done that so many times, and the pain each time is always the same.

Very wise of you to adopt again right away; one can never have too many love-bugs. (Well, except for the people who over-do, and they have an illness.)

I had a black cat more than 30 years ago who played so vigorously that he would have to pause and pant for a while.  I named him "T. Devil," because he reminded me of a film clip I'd seen of a Tasmanian Devil...and because I wanted to gross out my fundie mother and JW sister.  Heh!  My sister insisted on calling him "Angelito." Silly.

He was a love-bug, too.  Slept in my arms almost every night of his 16-year life.  He also used to sit beside my father in the recliner to watch the news every night (We were living with my parents at the time because they were both in poor health and needed help around the house). After Dad died, The Devil still got into his chair every night and waited for someone to turn on the TV.

Be well, and happy with "Mak the Knife."  ("Hand-Slasher"?) And post some pictures, please.
