I got this as a present from my dad. He says it's from Megalodon, but I think it's a little too curved. Anyone out there a paleontologist?

I don't know how much it weighs, but from the tip to that imaginary line you you talked about Matt, it's 2 1/2 inches.  At the base (where the roots would be if it was a mammalian tooth) it's about 2 inches across.  That's why I didn't think it was Megalodon, because it was so small, but I suppose it could've come from a young one.  My dad found along a riverbank in Kansas.

that is definetley megalodon. cuved or straight its real. remember that they usualy are found in sediments that were once underwater and the enamal will deform over time.

and hay...maybe this one had a dental prob too who the fuck knows.

but thats definitely megalodon.

how big is it?

(measure from tip of tooth straight up to an imaginary line that goes between the two highest points at top).

and how much does it weigh?
