No driving 'home' to work yet. Last Winter, the idea was to park at the ski resort during the week and drive down into town on my weekends. A plan promptly thwarted when my transmission quit the second I got there.

Heh. I lived in an old farmhouse built in the 1860s when i was a kid. It still had remnants of horsehair insulation, but still... in the winter time, the windows upstairs (where us children slept) would be completely frosted over.

$40 a month is not bad for heating bills. Do you drive your house to work in the winter?

Insulation? What is thing you speak of called 'insulation?' Until last winter, I lived in a 3-season part of the country and rarely needed much heat. Last winter it cost about $10 a week in propane. If I'm in the same place this coming winter it will likely be twice that since I'm definitely getting a better/bigger heater.

Do you have it insulated? What are your heating bills like in the winter?
