Been getting a mixture of responses from in-laws mostly or friends since coming out that I am not a god person. I've been told I'm hateful, depressed, having a heavy heart, preachy etc. Of course, I'm not those things. Others going through the same thing may appreciate this pic and keep their head up. Religious people can be demeaning to justify why you don't love their god.
Oh yes! How people see me! Well, from my point of view, it is none of my business how people see me. I exist with all the senses to tell me what I see, hear, smell, taste, feel with my tissues and feel with my emotions. It is my responsibility to read my own responses.
How others read me offers me more input and that can be included in my judgment. It is still my responsibility to think and feel my own responses and take their feedback as just more data.
When others tell me how I feel or how I think, I know my boundaries have been violated.
When others tell me how they perceive me, that is new information that I welcome it and thank them. I have no business telling them how they perceive me, that is their business.
