Hi its nice to see that there are other active teen atheists around. Im very intersted in getting some perspectives from others, most importantly highschool experiences and I was brought here. I also have some experience dealing manic depresent individuals my sister being one of them so if you want to chat, or discusse just send me a message
I was reading some of your posts in the parents discussion, and it seems that you and I have a lot in common when it comes to parents. I am still in the closet to them because I want financial help with college (sounds horrible, I know, but I think that it is my best option. The only difference evident to me is that my parents are still together (which I think means double the oppresion).
Anyway, sorry for the rant. It was just really encouraging to see that someone else is going through what I am and suceeding. Thanks.
First, I can understand that you're looking to what you will do and be when you leave high school, but you should be enjoying your high school years. You're a very attractive girl, and the fact that you're an Atheist (which to me, qualifies your intellect), should make you even more confident in yourself.
I'm 66 and I've been an Atheist since I was about 13 years old. My kids are Atheists, and for them, I'm very proud of that.
And, it's good that you don't care that much as to what people might think of you; live your life as you want to, and you'll be surprised at how people will think of you.
