New Athiest here. Very closeted, and no intentions of "coming out" in the near future. I'm sure that I'm different than all of the rest of the atheists around here because I still believe in raising my children in a christian environment. I don't hate religion, it's wonderful for a lot of people if it's done "properly," with openness, love for humanity, and tolerance for all types of believers and non-believers. If I become a religion hater, then I'm just as bad as "those intolerant Christians." Raised liberal SDA (bad-ventists, for those that "get" that) and couldn't understand how anyone could not believe in God, until... one day... I couldn't believe in God. I don't want to "pop" my kids bubble of their love for Jesus, just as a parent jumps through hurdles keeping Santa alive in their brains for as long as we can. As long as their religion isn't life consuming, I fully support, and will foster their christian lives. Guess that makes me the biggest hypocrite out there, eh?
