The original group founder is long gone.Active moderation is needed, therefore comments and membership are now closed. For re-birth of a vegetarian atheist group, if you are willing to moderate the group, I invite you to submit a new group.  There have been some great discussions and I am grateful to have been involved.  I am vegetarian and atheist, among other things, and would love to be in…See More

Welcome to New Jersey.

It's not Mexican food, but I did find a bitchin' Ethiopian restaurant here. I haven't been south of Princeton yet, so I'm unfamiliar with all that your particular area has to offer. I should make my way down there sometime, though; I'm in the middle of a wildflower collecting spree and need to find species outside of New Brunswick before I have to return the plant press I borrowed.

I empathize with your weather troubles. I was supposed to play kickball today but our baseball field got rained out. Plus, it's, like, 68º right now. Brr!

I went to a Mexican restaurant in Newark a month or so back. On top of the cheese enchilada was a square slice of American cheese. I have given up hope of finding decent Mexican food here.

One thing you need to do before the summer's over is find your way to the beaches and people watch for an afternoon. Turns out guidos really do exist after all.

By the way, welcome to Jersey! Say hi to your mother for me.

I once drove through I-40 to drop off a friend at OSU (or it might have been OU, don't remember). Other than that, I have no experiences of Oklahoma, other than a curious phenomenon that I've noticed but cannot yet explain to you. Instead, I must ask you, as a resident of Oklahoma: do you like Taco Bueno?

I grew up in Houston, by which I mean north of Houston in Spring. It's kind of funny that people from Spring will say they're from Houston when it takes longer to get from Spring to downtown Houston than it does to get from, say, New Brunswick to Newark. Texas certainly has a different type of geography.

As for what cool stuff to do in Jersey, from where I live New York is only an hour train ride away! And Marlton is right by Philly, so you'll have that going for you. I'm not sure about all the activities one can partake in, since I've only lived here for two months. I'm sure I'll find out, though.

Howdy, fellow (soon to be) Texas expat!

Whereabouts in Texas are you?

Welcome. You're lucky. You have a Trader Joes and a Whole Foods right there in Marlton!

Welcome to A|N Cara! I was raised in Texas, and miss it from time to time, but understand what it's like living in the bible belt. Feel free to join some of your fellow heathens in the A|N chat. You never know what the topic is going to be next!
