Greetings, Clair! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Hello all, we had a picnic in Asheville yesterday(Sun14) and we had a good number of people and lots of food of all kinds. We got to meet lots of interesting people, it was so relaxing. Another group came over from Tenn. so lots more folks. The atheist picnic, long awaited, was a great sucess.

hi Clair, thanks a lot for adding a fellow BR group member + your comment (it looks like it, yes!) I hope, all's well in Burnsville (hot name!) too. Have a nice day! Greetings from rainy Germany!

Howdy Clair!
LOL, no worries. Glad you added me back.
Per your last question, there are several Atheist/Freethought groups here in Atlanta. I even met some of them at this year's TAM6 (mid June/Las Vegas).
Been meaning to go to some of the local atheist events and meetings, but I find that with a busy work schedule and family activities, I don't have much time to hang out with other like minded people.
Catch you later,

G'day Clair!
I certainly have made my own brews in the past
It's permitted here, certainly... as with most relatively free nations.

In many respects Australia has many similarities in freedoms to the United States. Australia is probably a bit less up-tight about controlling things such as the press and keeping a grip over how people reflect on their own nation than does the States.

Australia rates 28th on the Reporters Without Borders Press Freedom Index. The United States rates 48th on the same index.
You can see the index here: INDEX

If you have anything you'd like to know about Australia feel free to ask!

Howdy Clair! Thanks for adding me as a friend. I see you are in NC, just a bit North East of us here in Gee-Jaw.

Can't have too many non-religious friends, IMHO.

I don't know about you, but I despair over the plethora of fish emblems and xtian clap-trap that the muddle-headed loonies sport on their cars.

At least they aren't burning folks like us at the stake anymore. Not sure how long that will last, however...

Anyway, take care and keep in touch!

Clair it's great you can hide away from the babbling in those beautiful surroundings [that weren't created by any invisible boogey man] and help guide your children towards using the soft stuff inside their skull for some constructive purpose other than being an organic dictaphone for babbly verses.

Here's a toast to helping kids grow up to enjoy the wonder of the real world!

i'm making soup.

i will have duct tape handy, should the topic of kings of leon arise.

and i am in a foul mood, so it's good that you're coming over. you'll help it go away, and the basement is getting way too full of bodies. i can't afford another rotten spell till i get more lime.
