Hi Donald. That link you shared in climate Concerns didn't lead to anything but a Google search page. Perhaps you could click into the particular article you want us to read, and make a new comment linked directly to it.

My original plan was research on illogical beliefs ie religion, then the psychology of belief, then propaganda, which is a very black area! With all the date gatherered, I can project that at least 6 volumes would be required! Although I started out to explain the idiocy of belief in the supernatural, I stopped & pondered the millions in Asia who believe in the medicinal properties of rhino horn or tiger's claws & realised that overal humankind has not evolved very much regardless of the progress made by scientists!

TY, I am already interested in so much. I am serious about my family. I am 46 years old and a care giver for my disabled mother. Her sister (my 90 year old aunt) just stopped by 1/2 an hour ago, and started questioning me on things she had no business asking.

This being stuck in the middle between caring for my mother and dealing with right wing religious family is hard! I am glad to come to group and be around free thinkers!

I really really really want to get more involved! Richard Dawkins has been a huge inspiration, and it is great to see there are a lot more people who have enough sense to know how to think for themselves!

Donald, I appreciate your dialogue in Climate Concerns.

Incidentally, here's an entry from Lean Logic, a kind of dictionary, that explains better than I could why I never say things like, "Climate Change is our fault." or "Human beings are to blame from Global Warming."

Hi Donald good morning yes I do believe in evolution but also I believe in extraterrestres or others kinds of inteligente beans from other places of the universe. And as I already have said I believe that God is Nature. Greetings. Thank you.

Hello Donald how are you friend hope very well thank you for accept me at the Atheist Nexus, as I told you before I am became an Atheist because I believe that the Nature is God that he is everywhere and I dont believe that Christ can replace God and I think that we all are like Christ because he and every creature of the Earth and of the Universe are all the same from the Creation.

You can be glad, at least, that your woods aren't on top of thawed permafrost, Donald. Things are much worse right now for people near Lake Baikal in Siberia than in Washington.

“It Feels Like Doomsday” — Massive Lake Baikal Wildfires Threaten Water Supply

For the burning comes due to added atmospheric heat thawing permafrost and providing billions and billions of tons of additional wildfire fuels by turning what was once ice into a peat-like under layer. This thawing creates an understory fuel for the fires spreading over large sections of Siberia. Now, trees will often burn all the way to the roots and the newly thawed land itself will burn to a depth of three feet or deeper. [emphasis mine]

At least your forest is on solid ground.
