That is the way that Travis is. He likes to speak out and loudly. I'm a little more quiet, but I do enjoy expressing myself. Just had a little comment conversation with Mark on facebook about it all. Check it out, if you haven't already. I thought, from something Tanya said, that Mark might be an atheist, but according to him, he used to be agnostic, but he's obviously seen some pretty amazing things in his life, who knows what, that give him a "strong faith in god" He just hopes that I get the opportunity to see them in my lifetime..blah blah blah..there's no changing their minds. All I can do is speak the truth and hope it soaks in with someone or another along the way. I would be suprised to find out Karen was an atheist, she is obviously very quiet about the way she feels, if you don't even know. That's why I was curious. I just wish more people would open up about how they feel. Speaking of hypocrites, how about your dumb ass sister and her husband?? I can barely hold my tongue at times, especially when she gets to talking about things Heidi shoves at her, recorded directly from Fox News! God is good, god is great...have you looked around you lately? Homelessness, abuse, murder, suffering, everywhere you turn?? What kind of god is that? I swear if he does exist, I hate his ass!

You're right, for a while, I was in the closet. Travis' brother actually gave me the courage I needed to "come out" and actually to question more than I ever did before. I think we're actually pretty lucky, considering where we live, that we know so many free-thinkers/skeptics. Even if they don't necessarily consider themselves atheists. I, myself call myself agnostic, because truthfully, if there was scientific evidence of a god, I would be happy to believe. But in no way, shape, or form would I follow the practices of any organized religion. You're right about that!
I'm curious to know, does your wife share your beliefs on this subject?

Glad to see ya, buddy. You're mom had said you were an atheist, which I was glad to hear. I got involved on the site to try to find some like-minded people around here in TN, so I just searched the member database and found quite a few! Yay, awesome to find out we're not alone.
