Jump right in this is a great platform for shy people. Join in a discussion you will be surprised how great the people are here. There is simply not a bunch of people arguing or being hateful. Instead they are supportive and will challenge your intellect in a good constructive manor! We look forward to hearing from you!
I guess you're too far out from Indianapolis to get much of the liberalizing effect from being in a large urban area, huh? Or is Indianapolis one of those weird, conservative urban-areas? I've only ever driven straight through it, on my way from here to Chicago.
Of course, when you have to travel 30 minutes just to get to the nearest edge, you don't get quite as much influence as one of the suburbs, stuck right onto the side of the city itself.
Well, jump into a few groups and check out the conversations going on around here. You can see recent activity, down towards the bottom right of every page, if you scroll down a bit. That's how we see when new people show up for us to greet, for example. I imagine that the rest of the welcome crew will be along shortly.
Not many Trump supporters around here, which will probably be a nice break for you, considering where you're at. There is such a thing as a conservative atheist, but they're in the extreme minority. Most of them aren't insane enough to support Trump, anyway.
Hell, we saw that he was going to monetize the presidency, very shortly after he won the Republican primary, when he had his daughter showing up to meetings with foreign leaders to push their business interests. The fact that he was trying to say that having his children run his business was pretty insulting to the American voters, but they fell for it anyway. He's going to be the most corrupt president we've ever had, I think ... not that I would have voted for him anyway, since I'm a progressive liberal.
Anyway, I type quickly, and I ramble. What I guess I'm trying to say is, no Trump and no Jesus here, so welcome to the site. ^.^
Hi Jenna. Welcome to A/N! I'm a fellow Hoosier (from rural Rossville/Frankfort). I know what you mean (in your "about me"). I know of only one fellow agnostic (on the fence). My atheist friends are here. Check out the many good, active groups, esp. Hanging with friends, Godless in the Garden, and Food.
