"GC, I clicked on your cat's pic above and found that s/he(?) lives in Pennsylvania. I next googled to see if Pennsylvania's state constitution allows cats' slaves a voice in state government via the direct initiative. Alas, according…"

"Yeah, GC; let's stoke some paranoia in conservatives. It stokes easily and their staying home on November 8th will enable some real progress. "

"True GC,  god relies on science to heal amputees.  Or that was an argument put to me by a Christian, as according to Leviticus  people who are disfigured cannot be presented to god, so god won't heal them. Well that is his…"

"Maybe that's the tactic Trump's campaign could take: "We'll make Heaven on earth!" (Nothing like the benign, utopian paradise Marshall Brain envisioned in "Why won't God heal amputees"!!)"

"LOL Joan, It'd be closer to the Christian Heaven then. Maybe America will become like North Korea, with Trump worship mandated. Now that would be interesting to watch from a distance."

About Me:
Hey everyone!

I've been on a hiatus (for the stupidest reason), but I'm officially back!

Former Catholic, progressive liberal, semi-closet metalhead and a true city person. Bernie supporter!

I wear black a lot.

I've had an ongoing struggle with confidence my whole life especially when I was a young Catholic. Atheism was that splash in the face for me to take personal responsibility.

The Unnecessary Organization of My iPod

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 9:51am 1 Comment

Most of the music in my iPod are organized by Artist, Album order, and Year they came out. So you have a sense of their growth.

For example:

Black Sabbath/War Pigs/Paranoid/1970

Black Sabbath/Paranoid/Paranoid/1970

Black Sabbath/Planet Caravan/Paranoid/1970

... and so on in the exact order of the album, then their next album:

Black Sabbath/Sweet Leaf/Master of Reality/1971

... then the after that uber collection is done it's on to the next… Continue

Hey just stopping by to say I really liked your profile description:

"It was one day, in which I prayed the hardest, then I realized, it wasn't god, the boogeyman, or any other outside source... it was myself. I had never taken advantage of the emotional freedom giving to me by existing as a living breathing creature. Ironically it was through prayer, I realized that god did not exist, and fate was decided on what you did next."

Sounded a bit poetic. :)

Thanks for reading my little poem and commenting.

As much as I would like a cookie I am hard pressed to construct a valid argument in support of Transformers 2.

Hi, you're probably not aware of it, but you are reason I discovered this site. You posted the name on another site which I'm also on. So thanks.

It's nice to be able to express my views without concern. I find this site rather refreshing.

Hi J,

Are you sorry you asked the question about Jesus? I am about half way through a book entitled Zero. The first and second halves are about religion. Finally Charles Seife is getting to something meaningful. Boaring. His last book was pretty good.
