Usually I tell people I am muslim, not agnostic. That puzzles them so much (especially because I am from Mittel Europe) that they can't argue anything. If I say "atheist", that infinite conversation starts "why? don't you feel him ? bla bla".
of course they act that way. First they say it's a miracle if they get better, but then it's gods will if they die or don't get re outcome they want. I do hope all goes well though.
I'm in the Ukraine and just left Russia, I was surprised at how religious they are there, I think in any place that's a little down and out you'll find people needing religion or something as an escape.
