Curing garlic

"Excellent garlic crop! Mine was less this year. I delayed putting it in, and wasn't able to keep up with the weeds. This time I feel better and will start again with a different raised bed, currently occupied with almost-done bush beans."

The Top 10 Things To Do In Your Garden This Fall

The Top 10 Things To Do In Your Garden This FallI leave my plants with seed heads to clean up in the spring so that birds can feed on the seeds all winter and the dropped seeds spread desired plants. I concentrate on building soil. Getting humus into the soil is important for clay and sandy soils. I garden in Spokane on an ancient swamp and I need more sand and fresh…See More

About Me:
I changed from faith to science. I am a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a survivor of breast cancer thanks to the fine diagnostic work and treatment at Cancer Care Northwest, which included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Dreadful stuff, but a wake up to living each and every minute. Life is to remember the past, live in the present and remember a preferred future. One can be good without god! My family demonstrates it

If there were a god

Posted on June 30, 2015 at 10:00am 4 Comments

If there were a god he/she/it would be giving the same message to each nation on every continent. The imperative would be to live in peace with justice for all. There would be an emphasis on community building. Voluntary population control would be part of the litany. The focus would be on cleanliness to…

When I was teaching, my classroom consisted of chaos, many things going on at once, few sat in their chairs, some sat at drawing boards, others in discussion groups, many in reading areas, clay and paper and paints and chalk existed scattered throughout with no sense of order. I do not…

Thank you all for the kind welcome. I look forward to participating here at Atheist Nexis.

Friends have given me the nickname Whit in the past, that seems to be a good way to distinguish the multiple Randys on the board.

Everyone enjoy the weekend!
