In my Stumble travels, I came upon a video called "The End of the World Cult"
. I watched, wide-eyed, the full 48 minutes, I became absolutely terrified at what I was seeing, hearing.
All I could think was "people really live like this??". It literally horrifies me. It seemed as if they were pretending. I could not, cannot, comprehend this level of brainwashing. As I gathered more information, I wondered why this has not gathered a bigger outcry. Why there are not people knocking down the gates at the "Strong City" compound where these people live. They thought the world was going to end on October 31st 2007
. Somebody's got to save them, damn it.
Sure, the economy's in shambles. But there is a man out in New Mexico proclaiming himself the second Messiah. Worse, there are people that believe
After it was revealed that this 67-year-old man
was "lying naked in bed" and "laying is hand upon their sternum" with young girls - ages 14 to 16 - he gets arrested, indicted, and finally thrown in jail for 10 years.
Then, a woman in the cult, or, excuse me, "church", decides to starve herself in protest. She "fasts" for 30 days
until she is forcibly taken off the compound.
There is a website describing the group's trials and tribulations
, as well as asking for donations to save Michael, their "Messiah", at his appeal.
This has got
to be stopped.
