About Me:
Hello. I'm a married adoptive parent, cis/bi, and an agnostic atheist. Little Bear is now 14 (where did all those days go?) and that's been a new challenge for us. I also love fiber arts with the white-hot intensity of 1000 dying suns.

This all started when I decided to write about what I’ve been doing this past week and my feelings about that subject. I haven’t come up with a new title, so this will have to do for now.

I’ve been to church. Two different ones in the past week. It’s brought up a lot of feelings about religion and why I am not religions. Also – why I won’t be religious any time soon. The first visit, last Sunday, was for a friend. Her daughter and mine are BFFs, and she’s been asking me to attend…

In the past couple of days, I’ve been fielding an increasing number of, um, interesting questions from School Girl. Yesterday, we talked about “how the earth was created”. Last night, there were another couple of interesting questions, which found their way into the breakfast conversation this morning.

Closely followed by…”If there’s nothing in space, is it white or black?” White being in the… Continue

Now, that rang a couple of alarm bells in my head. First, the Big Questions normally come at the end of the day, as we’re getting ready for bed. I’ll admit, in the past few months we’ve been talking about some Big Questions indeed. But nothing like this.

I do know that School Girl’s… Continue

Hey. How's it going?

After being on here for a week or two (or so), I thought I'd post and say hello.

My name's Karen, or Spidey, or Mommy; Mommy's winning out at the moment, or maybe I'm being conditioned to answer to just about anything. I'm an agnostic, married to an agnostic with a 6-year-old currently being raised without religion in a...very religious area.

I'm interested in archaeology, cemeteries (my goal is to visit and photograph every cemetery in our area in the next few years), and… Continue

Hi, Lindsey!

Yes, I'm a knitter, crocheter and handspinner - so I call myself a fiber junkie! :D

It's nice to meet you. :-)
