Hi! My name is Kendall. Currently, I attend a Catholic school, which I'm sure you can all imagine is difficult for an atheist. It is incredibly frustrating and teachers constantly feel the need to announce their opinions, whatever they may be. I was raised Episcopalian, which is a wonderful religion that is very tolerant and loving. I left the church because I just do not believe that there is any way God could exist.

Really? Surrounded by Catholics? Weird. I would have thought pretty much all of California was more fundamentalist territory. I think of Catholicism as more of an urban, northern thing.
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I was only really aware of Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, and a few other denominations that were basically like Catholicism without the Pope. I wasn't even introduced to the concept of nut-jobs who accepted anything in the Old Testament literally, until my late teens.
And even in that environment which was perfectly suited for Pascal's Wager, I rejected all of the nonsense in the Bible before I was 10. :-D
