Kristy - I just read your first post and although it's now April '12, I want to share with you that I am an atheist - addict and also took care of my father-in-law as his only home care giver for a year during part of his struggle with Alzheimer's. I remember the isolation and tremendous need to get away and do something deeply refreshing for myself. I am also looking now for a good alternative recovery program to AA that doesn't collide with my atheism. I am checking out Smart Recovery in my town and hope to go to a group meeting next week. How are you doing now??
Hello Kristy and welcome to this friendly site with atheist freethinkers who recognise how religions and fictional gods continue to deceive and control vulnerable superstitious people beginning with innocent defenceless children.
How tragic and inexcusable it is too that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and longer.
