I graduated from SUCOLI after it became SUNY at Stony Brook. I became a computer programmer and worked for several different companies over the years. I've been married to Nancy for 38 years. We have two "kids" and lived on LI. I retired from Northrop Grumman 6 years ago. We moved to Ephrata, PA in Lancaster County soon thereafter,.
I was in a "What ever became of ..." mood one night recently and Googled you. I found you in hits for Atheist Nexus, and joined, mostly to confirm that it was you and see how you're doing.
Larry, there were also hits for an obituary. I am very sorry to hear about Beth. It's nice to know that you were together for such a long time. I remember driving up to Cazenovia for your wedding.
Bill Thomsen graduated from Stony Brook after changing his major from Engineering to English. He got his master's degree from Berkeley, and eventually became chairman of the English department at-- Harborfields! He and his wife, Arlene are comfortably retired in St. Augustine, where we visited them and another college couple earlier this year. They have two kids, too.
Our daughter and her husband are moving from Salt Lake City to Wenatchee, Washington this weekend. In relative terms, that's not too far from Idaho. Maybe we could get together out there eventually, during one of our visits? But I won't push. Only if we both decide it's a good idea.
Thanks for all those rides. I liked the VW a lot. For a couple of years, I owned a black '57 with a sun roof that "I never should have sold." I stumbled on it years later in the Walt Whitman Mall's parking lot. Whoever owned it then appeared to have rolled it. Alas.
Hello Larry and welcome to this friendly site with atheist freethinkers who recognise that fictional gods and cunning religions continue to deceive and control vulnerable people including defenceless children. How tragic and inexcusable it is too that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and longer.
