I don't know how far along you are with your degree, so this may not be worth your while, but if you wanted to start a campus group, I know of a faculty member who would probably sponsor it. Believe it or not, there are other non-believers on that campus; I found a few back in my day but they were few and far between. Organizing a group could help everyone with their sense of isolation. However, if you're apprehensive about doing something like that, I'd be more than happy to help you get rolling. I live on the other side of the state, but my wife's family is still in Ada, so we still get back there several times a year, so I'd be more than happy to lend a hand in any way a can.

Hello Mark
Welcome to this friendly site with freethinkers who recognise that fictional gods and crafty religions continue to deceive and control vulnerable people including defenceless children. How tragic and inexcusable it is too that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and longer.

Terry Meaden
founder of the busy group "ORIGINS: Universe, Astronomy, Life, Earth, Humans, Religion, Evolution, Darwin..." with its 310 discussion topics.
We invite you to join us and 1800 others.
