Unless you were raised by atheist parents, you probably had some recovering to do when you left religion. The purpose of RR is to provide a landing place for people when they jump from religion. With local support groups throughout the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, and real-time resources accessible to everyone, RR is where to turn when faith has lost its luster.See More
This is the place to post that hilarious irreligious YouTube video, an irreverent, anti-religious cartoon, or other humorous bit of media. Posts that do not reflect an atheist/irreligious theme will be deleted. (Don't make me go Old Testament.)See More
I don't know how far along you are with your degree, so this may not be worth your while, but if you wanted to start a campus group, I know of a faculty member who would probably sponsor it. Believe it or not, there are other non-believers on that campus; I found a few back in my day but they were few and far between. Organizing a group could help everyone with their sense of isolation. However, if you're apprehensive about doing something like that, I'd be more than happy to help you get rolling. I live on the other side of the state, but my wife's family is still in Ada, so we still get back there several times a year, so I'd be more than happy to lend a hand in any way a can.

How tragic and inexcusable it is too that women and minorities have been oppressed these last two thousand years and longer.
