Ah, whoops. Yeah, that would cause a bit of a problem. I've only been down there once, and I didn't stick around for more than a day or so, after the shuttle launch I was watching. I didn't get much of a feel for the place ... plus, it was 15 or 20 years ago, so my impressions at the time probably wouldn't be worth much now, anyway.
Church is the only place that people go to meet people? Meh. They discourage miscegenation between the denominations or something? ^.^ God made Pentecostals for Pentecostals, Free-Will Baptists for Free-Will Baptists, and Jehovah's Witnesses for Jehovah's Witnesses?
At least the people on here are mostly sane, so you have that social outlet, until you can possibly get somewhere less religion-soaked, huh?
Yeah, I can imagine how difficult it must be to find other atheists, in most of Florida. I would expect a few more, in a place as science-heavy as Cape Canaveral, but I guess that's just the actual NASA people, not all of the support population surrounding it.
