Quran is NOT a Scientific Document!!

Posted on April 24, 2010 at 2:44pm 4 Comments

I am not a scientist and don’t claim to be one either, for this could amount to an act of blasphemy (for lack of better word). Nor, is the guy in the video posted below who is callously and vainly attempting to shove religious text into the realm of science. For those who do not know him, his name is Dr. Zakir Naik, a medical doctor who now runs a non-profit organization by the name of Islamic Research…

This Is Not Us!

In the last few years, Pakistan has gone through some extremely turbulent times and these shockwaves have been felt around the globe. The unfortunate self-fulfilling prophecy finally came true and the monster created by the Pakistani establishment to extend its ‘national interest’ has now turned around and bit the hands that once nurtured it. The Taliban of Afghanistan were once a pride for the ruling elite with several politicians and military…

Hi QM!
Great to meet atheist from Pakistan. Previously, I used to think that there are very few atheists in Pakistan but this site has changed my views.
Take care!

Thank you, it was very helpful. I look forward to going to the library this week. It will be a welcome break from the great but technical book "Science as a contact sport" about Climate Change science in the political arena.

I'm glad we can give you a place to chat and feel at home.
Reading your story heightened my interest in other books. So far the stories I've found focus on Afghanistan. There was the fiction by Khaled Hosseini 'The Kite Runner' and '1000 Splendid Suns', both of which I loved. More recently I finished the non-fiction 'A Woman Among Warlords' by Malalai Joya. I would like to find more books about other countries in the area too, both fiction and non-fiction if you have any you would suggest I would like to look for them here.
I'm glad we have so many great story tellers from parts of the world that seems almost inscrutable, to much of the "West" (read: usually anywhere not in our own neighborhood) even though I'll admit to being a bit sad at how we came by them.

I would recommend you to read my books, "Tasaware Khuda" published by Fiction House Lahore and Saqafti Ghutton aur Pakistani muashra...published by Aaj Karachi, you would enjoyed and feel enlightened...

We some friends in Islamabad are thinking to start a forum of likeminded friends and do something in making free thinkers in our society.

Hello QM in Pakistan, and welcome to this great meeting place
where we recognise gods as nothing but fictions, that religion is a fraudulent superstition for controlling people, and that it is tragic and inexcusable that women have been oppressed these last 2000 years.
