Chapter 13 - An Atheist Reads The Defense of the Faith

"I wish I could say that Van Til comes up with something novel in this chapter, but he doesn't, other than to highlight other schools of Calvinist presuppositionalism and why he doesn't agree with them.  Van Til is right because ...…"

Chapter 11 - An Atheist Reads The Defense of the Faith

"Hard though it may be to believe, this chapter sees Van Til's arguments become even more "It's true because I know it's true and it can't be any other way."  Honestly, I thought WLC had vacuous arguments, until I…"

Chapters 7-8 - An Atheist Reads The Defense of the Faith

"Based on what Van Til himself says, this book amounts to being utterly USELESS.  It will change no minds unless god wants them changed.  Indeed, nothing happens but what god wants to happen. So I have to ask: What's The Fucking Point?!?"

Thanks for your great work Steve, Love It!

Though I had read much apologetic work when I studied theology in a Christian boarding school, just to see what they were on about, and found exactly as you have.  Your readings only confirm that nothing really has changed, the same one sided arguments and total ignorance of their own ignorance.

I often lock horns with theists even troll their web sites for a bit of a laugh, they always come back with arguments based on the works of apologists and even when I point out the contradictions of their heroes works, they simply go into denial and reassert the circular argument, Rule 1: The Bible is all knowledge, when things get difficult, refer them back to Rule 1.

Though I argue with them for my own amusement, they consider us ugly Atheists and Bullies, not because we are actually attacking them, but making them actually think, and the pain of trying to think Rationally is beyond their tolerance of pain, so thus we are inflicting pain on them, we are thus Bullies.

Having been barred from many Christian websites, though now I have a new IP address, they haven't detected me yet, so I'm back to being a moderate but questioning Christian again.  I like taking the mickey out of those End-Of-Times Evangelical Christian sites and groups.

I'd be interested to see you do a series on their rot, you know, the idea of the Satan driven New Order conspiracy (Illuminati) which half our pop culture is adopting (according to them), possibly because of the free publicity those groups offer.  And the rise of the Nephilim and the Anti-Christ (which likely they have tagged us with) for the modern derived prophecy of the Rapture.

Just an idea for when you finish dealing with books written by fools with evidently severely Corrupted Mindware.

To address more fools with supremely corrupted mindware!

Thanks heaps for the Info.

Just noticed that you are from Sharpsburg, right around the corner from me in Frederick.  Good to know that such high caliber atheist thinking is close by.
