Hey Steve - thanks for your comment (and for getting my to log into atheist nexus for the first time in a long while). So true what you said about how people would give God the credit for the musical skills people had worked hard for many years to achieve.
Hey thanks for your comment. Yeah I can totally relate to what you were saying. I remember how moved people would be by the music, and I would think "it's funny how the holy spirit seems to correspond to particular chordal patterns or musical techniques". Interesting stuff!
Hey Steve! Welcome to Atheist Nexus. I'm Kris from Queensland. I see you've already found our Aussie, Kiwi & South Pacific Atheists Group. Glad to have you aboard.
I'd also like to draw your attention to our Australian working group for a submission on "Freedom of Religion and Belief in the 21st Century" - a project of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Commission. This is a chance for atheists to have real input into government policy pertaining to freedom of religion and the separation of church and state.
I notice you are a musician. You might be interested in befriending a member who joined Atheist Nexus, Jaycee (Jonathan Corea), a professional musician, saxophonist and member of the Sydney band, King Farook.
