I've mostly stayed in Texas because my kids grew up here and I didn't want to take them away from their friends. Now, I'm 5 years divorced and my kids are both off at college, planning their lives elsewhere. I sold my house a year ago and rented a condo and now I'm ready to move on. I've considered moving back to N.O., but I really think I need a change. I would love to get away from the bible-belt and live somewhere more progressive. I travel a lot for business, so I've done some research, but I'm just not sure where I want to spend the next part of my life. I'm thinking, somewhere with mountains, water, and Atheists would be nice... ;-)
Hi Stormy. I'm originally from New Orleans, but I moved to Texas about 20 years ago. Most of my family still lives in the area. Some had damage from Katrina, but nothing too major. I visit when I can and I miss certain things about the city. Do you think you'll ever move back?
