About Me:
I am a Cajun atheist in the Lafayette area. I am interested in meeting others, as well as getting groups together to do charitable work (like volunteering, giving blood, etc). Atheists have a stigma of not caring about humanity, and it's not true.

Hear, hear! We do good things because it's the right thing to do, because we know that this one life is all we get. (But I'm preaching not just to the choir, but also to a few actual former preachers who are members here!)

Welcome; I'm glad you found us!

Some groups and forums here are very active; others, like Louisiana Atheists, currently not. (But sometimes just one post can catch people's attention and they'll come back.)

I'll heartily second Ruth's recommendation of "Hang With Friends", with conversations ranging from weighty to mundane to silly, and simply catching up with each other.

Welcome,Ted ! Glad you could join us. :D

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since Louisiana's climate is changing so drastically.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.
