I don't know if you'll find these discussions interesting or useful, but maybe not as obnoxious as some of the discussions you have seen. The race/echnicity/culture discussion group is meant to foster positive communication. It doesn't always happen but is more likely to occur than in the general forum.
I'm staying out of further discussion on the "Pass" thread because I have suspicions about the original premise, I don't think it's leading to anything useful, and it gets my blood pressure up.
