Heaven and Hell versus the Universe

Posted on March 31, 2011 at 12:53am 2 Comments

Today at work I was doing a little wool gathering and thinking about death and dying and heaven and hell. I was also contemplating what happens when we die. As an atheist and not a believer in heaven and hell I considered a marvel of what happens when we die. When we are born we are collection of atoms and molecules drawn from each corner of the universe and we coalesce into this marvelous, unique, one-of-a-kind. There is not another one like us. Each one of us as varied as snowflakes. When we… Continue

I have been a Nexus member for about 2 months now and somewhat bewildered by all that is available here. I have just begin to really navigate around this site. To those who welcomed me forgive my tardiness at saying thank you. I am still trying to get a handle on things like Friend invites, apps and such. I do like the Forums. As far as blogs, I'm not sure what's appropriate here. I don't want to be a ranter or whiner. Thanks for a great site. Catch you later.

You were much more mechanical than I was.  I was proud to know how to file the points with the abrasive patch on a booklet of matches, and change the oil and filters,   Your expertise with the gauges and other wiring is awesome!

The Maverick had a center console with a clock.  I figured out how to pull out the clock and put it back in, which left space for a packet of dried plant leaves behind the clock.  Not that I would ever admit to that, 10 years after, let alone now  :-)  The leaves of course were there to feed treats to whatever Mastodons approached the car.  Mastodons were vegetarians, and they liked leaves.  Oh, and I did install the 8-track player.  That did not come with the car.
