"Good for you Courtney, I lack your courage at the moment. Partially because I have children and I'm worried about the backlash they could recieve from it. Oddly, it's my children that are the most expressive about it. So far it has only…"

Cara replied to LarryL's discussion "ONCE I WAS BLIND, NOW I SEE."
"Just curious as to what it was that made you change your mind. I have always been curious as to why people believe what they do more than what they believe. I was amazed at how people could be so certain about something even without evidence to…"

Cara replied to Gerald Scott's discussion Onward Christian Soldiers in the group ORIGINS: UNIVERSE, LIFE, HUMANKIND, AND DARWIN
"I've noticed this quiet a bit at the various schools our children have attended. It nauseates me when I see kids always wearing church or religious shirts to school. Yes I understand it's their right, but I cannot help feel like they are…"

Cara replied to Rusty Gunn.'s discussion Atheists and nudists.
"I grew up in a non religious family, with hippy parents. I have been bathing nude in the sun since birth. I have always felt that it was a completely natural thing to do. The experience was never sexual for me untill I hit puberty, and I would…"

Cara replied to david hartley's discussion Thelack of rquirement for an inner ear in a non rotating planet

Cara replied to david hartley's discussion Thelack of rquirement for an inner ear in a non rotating planet
"If the inner ear is positional for three dimensions, then why in zero gravity would a creature be inner earless? Perhaps less developed or less sensitive, but wouldn't it still be needed? I am truely clueless about the inner ear, but currious…"

Greetings, Cara! I notice you haven't been active at Atheist Nexus lately. <sigh> Sometimes it can seem a bit fragmented, with different groups for every interest. Please consider a group for socializing, where we talk about whatever's on our minds, Hang With Friends. :D You might feel more at home.

Thank you for your comment i've been running round dizzy and have just begun to get the mail etc. Thank you so much for the comment, i know what you mean i love the idea of questioning everything for as a largely self taught person i don't think it ever leaves you (insecurity??). I feel that science can be it's own worst enemy sometimes and quite often the questions out of left field from people interested yet without such backgrounds can lively things up. I haven't started on the fact that the appendix may indicate we were ruminants somewhere in the distant past i mentioned it but everyone seems to have given it a wide berth!!!

hiya again yes i agree. It's the reverse of another discussion whereby the dinosaurs were without a bone structure not that they did'n't have one. my fault for being less than clear. I just felt that only without the pressure of acceleration they could have been that size and it thereby asks questions about lineage, one of the recognized states of being a mammal is to have inner ear bones. In one post I dared to suggest 'Could dinosaurs have been mammalian'. Got short shrift on that one but it also opened some of these other questions for me at the same time. Love this font you have your page in

Hi Tina! I think the rest of your comment to my post (in the atheism section) got cut off, on my page there's more words to your comment, but on the page with the post it's shorter. I don't know what happened?
