Oh, just undecided about what my screen name and page should be called. I can't ever make up my mind about anything like that. I'll probably want to change it later too.

So, I was watching the beginning of the Olympics when all the countries were filing in, and they just kinda skipped over Iceland. I thought that was lame.
They gave brief coverage for countries they said filed in during the commercial break, but that doesn't actually matter since it was all filmed earlier in the day. Oooh well.

Hi Valdimar...we were there for 2 years. My husband was in the Air Force at the time, so we lived at Keflavik NAS. I got to go into Reykjavik several times. I just loved that city :) We also go to travel to Thingvellir once.

Hello from Florida! I wish I lived in Iceland though. I lived there about 25 years ago and I miss your country.

Well, I can't say I'm happy that my state is known for having Bush as governor. I dunno about it being the most conservative state, but it really is very conservative.
And yeah, Austin is way more liberal than the entire rest of the state. So no, it's not stereotyping at all. It's known for being that different. There's a campaign here to "Keep Austin Weird", and there's tons of independent stores and venues. We also have tons of live music all over the place, and we've been called the live music capitol of the world.
It's the capitol of Texas, and because of my university and other factors, there's a big mix of people there. And I think it might be the only county in Texas that goes to the Democrats in the national elections.

I should look into that podcast. It sounds interesting.

Wow, I didn't even know that much about Iceland, except for it being green, and Greenland being icy. Haha, that's not good.

Japanese and math seems like an odd combo. What are you planning to do with those? As for the podcast, I haven't heard of it before. What exactly do they talk about on it? Well, more specifically than astronomy.

Hi, thanks for the friend add. Iceland, eh? I confess, I don't know much about it. :/ What are you studying at your university?

I see, that's interesting. Well, at least it feels like secular. US supposed to be secular on paper, but it is not in reality. Go figure.
