Feeling like a fish back in water.

Hy Firiends! I was used to spend some hours daily with friends at nexus. One day when I tried to open it, I found it was blocked. It was a real shock. Was just like losing my family. Felt very alone. In desperation I turned all my attentions to my cacti collection. Found some real good friends on cacti circles of facebook. Specially I was able to sit among world best in cacti grafting. Had some very valuable knowledge from those men of knowledge. After 2-3 years I am now able to graft 7 days…See More

I'm glad you feel ok. I was really worried that I'd been so clumsy in my responses to you, and unfeeling, that I'd discouraged you. I do value your input, amer. Thanks.

Joan mentioned to me that you took what I said about Pakistani marriage personally, amer. Please realize that I appreciate your contributions to Hang With Friends, and encourage you to use your authentic voice. You have a right to express your opinions and values, which I have seen you do respectfully, civilly. Please understand that I mean no disrespect to people who enjoy such traditions, even if I criticize the traditions.

It's important to me to distinguish between behaviors and the people. If I critique traditional practices, it's the practices and the values they embody that I question, not the worth of the individuals.

You should understand that I hold no ill will toward you or the Pakistani people.

I apologize if I caused you hurt.

Welcome, amer! Glad you could join us. :D

Please consider joining a group to meet people and talk about anything that's on your mind, Hang With Friends. You might also like Atheist Teachers and Apostate Atheists.

I also recommend Eco-Logical and Climate Concerns, since Pakistan's climate is changing so drastically.

After you've searched for topics of interest in "Groups" above and in the "Forums", don't forget to look at recent activity which hides along the right margin of the page all the way at the bottom.
