I put this in science, but it's also kind of political. For the past 4 months or so an anonymous Twitter account (Real_PeerReview) featured links actual papers in the social "sciences". The postings…Continue
"There are a lot of security professionals who doubt the strength of those claims as well. The 'briefing' provided very little concrete information. It's not impossible that Obama got the report he wanted."
"In parts of our current PC climate, you would be called a 'racist' just for pointing this out.
Jesse Huges (of 'Eagles of Death Metal'), the band that was playing at the Bataclan a year ago during the terrorist attacks has…"
"There's another issue to: how do you define an atheist?
We tend to think of folks like many of us who have come to some form of rational conclusion about the universe and decided there is no evidence of gods.
But probably the majority of…"
"I must admit I'm having fun watching all this. Before the election when Trump was questioning the results, Obama insisted that the elections were secure and it would be unpatriotic to question the results simply because you don't like…"
"The concept of the EC was in part to keep any single state from controlling the federal government by giving each state a guaranteed minimum voice. In popular vote, California and Texas could pretty much control the country.
But it appears that the…"
"I agree that there is finally a growing resistance to the political establishment (which included both the Democrats and the Republicans). Details notwithstanding, Trump managed to completely shake up both parties at the same time (which…"

For me, atheism is only one (significant) component of who I am. I largely don't care if other people choose to be religious or not, as long as they're not being coercive of others. (I try to avoid the stereotype in the old…"
"Blasphemy laws may be going away, but they're merely being replaced by more politically correct 'hate speech' or 'bullying' laws. This has been evolving rapidly in in EU where people are being intimidated and even arrested…"
