While promoting atheism, Harris examines spirituality by means of considering philosophy, neuroscience and mysticism rather than displaying tacit disdain for it. He warns of the threat that fundamentalist religion poses to human progress and survival
Watched the videos a week ago. Thanks, I really enjoyed them. Thought I had seen them all. Wonder what else I've missed. Sam Harris is the one that finally pushed me over the line to atheism. I had been "on the fence" for the longest time. Can't get enough of his books and videos. He's so incredibly brilliant that he sometimes confuses me, but that's OK. Thanks again and Congrats on graduating. I got 2 classes away from it and for reasons too involved to explain, I didn't finish. Don't regret it one bit. I was getting a business degree and I realized...what for?!?! I'm reitring in 3 years and HATE my job. Hate the business world. So just decided to quit jumping through their hoops. Once I'm out of the job I'm in I am looking forward to taking courses that interest me: American History, Astronomy, Linguistics. Its nice finally being honest with myself about so many different things. Better late than never.
