When my little friend Lilia told me of her heartbreaking shift in affections from Justin to One Direction's Harry Styles, it simply broke my heart. I had just begun to appreciate Justin. Who is this Styles guy? A name like that, you'd think he was a fashion model, but he comes off as a scruffy kid with a lot of energy. About the only thing the two have in common is tattoos. Harry does not have that fabulous Bieber chest, abs, and tattoos. Justin has more of them. I guess. Lilia, when asked…

We've been busy this year. Brother-in-law fell on his head in January and contracted brain damage.. So we went to the hospital (the rest of the family is dead or not interested) and kept contact with the staff, took decisions, shared information and did whatever was necessary. Then we went to his apartment and found that his cat was phobic about people, and the apartment was totally neglected, dirty and full of broken stuff. We found a cat-nanny who accepted the bizarre situation and tried…

I haven't been on here in a while lol. Right now my parents are watching Noah, and while I would like to watch it, they keep talking about all the "science" behind the "historical accuracy" of the bible story. So now I just can't enjoy the movie for what it is without being bothered about how...would stupid be the right word? It's my parents, and it feels mean to call it for what it is.

Hello everyone!
You may want to know why I am here. I am not really sure. I consider myself to be a former Catholic girl. I guess most of you are former Christians, Muslims, Jews etc. as well. So you will get why I am interested in meeting people I can have discussions about religion with. But that is not the only reason. I am stunned at how people reacted to me being no longer Catholic. I thought I was surrounded with tolerant, progressive and accepting people who couldn't care less…

Imagine that there passed an international law that illegalized the ownership of private cars, and enforce people to use only public transport.
of course this is good for our environment and to reduce pollution and reduce consume of oil energy.
But this will be very strange law, many people will complain and motor industry will protest this law.
But may be in the future there will be such a law that prohibit using private cars, maybe because people became more aware of…

Several people have questioned the dominance of mechanistic thought in the sciences, and I must admit that my understanding of the scientific community comes from reading historical accounts and from conversations with scientific colleagues who began their careers half a century or more ago now -- and from reading works by scientists whose belief systems also go back a number of decades.
The gist of the conversations I recall was that people without an acknowledged commitment…

Have you ever asked yourself why we do things? Why do we do things that irritate others? What is it we do or say that make other laugh. Have you ever wondered why the most embarrassing things always happen when you think no one is around? Why? The following are just a few things that make us wonder what people are thinking.…

[1] In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the…

As of this post, it is afternoon in the Vatican, so I'm going to guess that Cardinal Law is playing checkers with the Pope.
