Today for some random reason I began to reflect on early childhood memories of the protestant church. My mind wandered to Communion. I realized that there are many of those who are unaware of how the ceremony of Communion in the early 70’and before was conducted. They may be shocked and well, simply grossed out it. Its description could provide a good lesson in Christianity and huge laugh. Christianity has changed enormously since its beginning. It continues to constantly change even to…Continue
I evangelize in reverse on You Tube sometimes. Maybe it’s just called trolling but the religious come out in droves and many try to convert me after I say I am an atheist. Usually I’m giving answers on an atheist blog post of some sort and the trolls come out. Immediately they try to tell me I’m angry at god.
One of my favorites recently is a man who says I’m under the influence of the Devil. I could be under the influence of PCP for all he knows, but he goes into great detail on…

I've lived within view of Mt St Helens for 15 years and more than half of my adult life in the Pacific Northwest areas affected by the Mt. St. Helens eruption in the 1980s.. Trees and terrain block the view from my house, but the beautiful volcano is prominant in the view on the road to my house.
Despite living here for so long, we have not been to the lookout station for at least 25 years. We…Continue
There are several articles I read and they have lost some power over the years and they are now even more split over Trump:Continue
I'm want to take money out of politics which is the primary reason I voted for Bernie Sanders during the Presidential primary.
This website called http://berniecrats.net/ which are active candidates that endorsed Bernie and are running for office (there's even 2 Republicans). We have to win the smaller elections as well to get people who have our interests in mind. Check it out, maybe there's one in your district, do your due diligence to look up…Continue
So … the Republican race for the presidency started out as a clown car with all of 16 occupants something over a year ago. At that time, no one (with the possible exception of Ann Coulter) thought that the head clown, the one who has spent a significant amount of his career in the entertainment business, would be the one left standing when the dust had settled. Yet as of about 9:23 PM, EDT on 21 July, 2016, that is precisely who the GOP has as their nominee for the most important position of…Continue
Today I was driving home, and was cut off in traffic by a woman driving a big white Oldsmobile Intrigue sedan. I knew it was an Intrigue because it had a label stating that. I had to look it up at home to find out, it was an Oldsmobile.
I could have forced the issue. I had right of way. If I had just tailgated the pickup in front of me, she would have had to merge behind me. But does it really matter if I get home 1 second sooner? Maybe one half second? I just don't…Continue
Traditions pass along through family lines and are thought to bring unity and civilization in what can be a confusing world. During this dangerous time of white police killing blacks and blacks killing law enforcement officers perhaps it is far past time to speak of a family tradition passed along in most black…Continue
When are you coming back for your sequel? Part one was really good! You know what they say: Sequels suck! The truth is, they usually do. But of course they would suck, without "Jesus Christ Superstar". Can you tell me at least some of the plot? I can hardly wait for the End of Days myself. I heard that you are going to raise every true believer from the dead! That would be so cool and kind of gross at the same time! Is everyone going to look their old selves or…Continue
During a recent session of drunken introspection, I realised that although I considered myself happy in life and love, I was not doing nearly enough grovelling and pleading to imaginary beings. This thought was not a new one, it had been suggested to me on multiple occasions by Father FuckFace (I've concealed his real name out of privacy and respect) who proclaimed with great…Continue

The time is long overdue for active advocating just like religions do. In the mean time and with all due respect, I don't trust a preacher turned atheist. You are probably covering and spying for the Judeo-christian lobby. Prove me wrong. wp
The first blog in a series that will delve into Cyrenaic philosophy is live on The Autarkist. The series will last approximately two months and discuss the invention of hedonism by an ancient school of philosophy that Michel Onfray has labeled "a philosophical Atlantis". Please subscribe to the Autarkist, or visit often, if you'd like to enjoy the…Continue

I have been studying Comparative Religion for some time now. There are 4200+ 'LIVE' religions on planet earth today according to the anthropologists.
They can't all be true, so how do I determine which one to believe in?
I've been told my "eternal soul" might be at stake and I don't want to bet on the wrong horse, after all. Should I pick whichever one is the oldest? I don't know which one that might be because many were passed down orally for many centuries before they were…Continue
This is harsh. I'm saying it because it really seems people don't realize.
Easy for you to say, "stop coal" while you enjoy your coal electricity, your coal vegetables, your coal appliances, the coal in your walls, curtains, clothing, pet food, dishes, flooring, automobile, roads, ink, paper, toiletries, denim. Every single solar panel with costs under $1/watt are entirely dependent on coal pfft "green" power.
And oil. How many hundreds of plastic objects do you own? Cell…Continue
Some people call themselves “Spiritual but not Religious”. One such person is my dear nephew 'Vishwa' of Delhi, who is also a cousin to Prema. I have a lot of admiration for him for some of his traits like empathy, compassion, self-effacing attitude and the desire to reduce human anxiety, depression & suffering with his counseling. Though he is a Spiritual person & I am a Secular Humanist, we get along dandy because we are both wedded to humanistic ethics. For me basically, it is not…Continue
My fiance and I got a marriage license, however, it expired last week. I realize that it is important to me to be sure to find someone who will not engage in superstitious talk at our wedding ceremony. I've looked online for local officiants, with each one promoting spirituality in some form. I don't want to hear words like that on my wedding day!
My experience with people has been that communication is a difficult thing. I can interview these people and they may seem to agree,…Continue
In this world of craziness and of living contradictions one has to wonder if the plurality of our experiences will ever lead down to a path of monistic truth in the centuries to come. The “science” of our political limbs leave out our heads and evades the science of the whole organism and the ecology of human organisms. There is no one correct way to exist, but there are correct ways to peacefully coexist. Even if we are subconsciously driven by our desire to live, and our pro-social,…Continue
If God didn't have the ability to create a better world which lacked natural disasters, he could have nevertheless foretold any number of them. He could have predicted when Mt. St. Helens would erupt, or when the Indonesian tsunami or hurricane Katrina or the earthquake in Hiati would hit. Such information would have saved lives and confirmed his existence and status as God.
To merely establish his status, he could have predicted the rise of the Internet, or the inventions of the…Continue
