Mondo Diablo Episode 372: Blown For Good

I've been knee-deep in the CONtrovery of Scientology lately, as it seems I'm mired in the False Slack of casual video games. You know, the stuff meant for middle-aged ladies like myself. I mostly like hidden-object mysteries, but I'm sort of in love with the casual mindlessness of Time-Management, Build-a-Village kind of games. Anyway, I listen to tons of videos and interviews about Scientology, and I…

Fun With "Actually"

OK, I’m tired of hearing the word “actually.”  I’m actually sick of it.  Really.

I mean, what does “actually” really mean?  Most dictionaries define “actually” as “in reality”, really.  I mean “really.”  But why is it actually necessary to say “in reality” every couple of sentences.  “In reality” I feel sick.  Or “in reality” I don’t like people using “actually” every few sentences.

As opposed to what?  Fantasy or unreality, right?  But why should I have to quality my…

My Mom, Religion, and the Cancelling of XMAS

Nothing has earned more controversy, strange looks, or eye-rolling in my life than my decision to cancel Christmas.  Not even my strong opinions on various subjects, my vocal condemnation of religion, or my open hatred for dumbasses that affect and infect my life.  (You probably have a good idea who you are.)  The consensus is that I am a bitter, bah-humbuger-Scrooge-Grinch, hybrid.  It is assumed that I don’t care about my family and worse, do not want to be part of it.

    First of…

Power Monarchy Autocracy Democracy!

I feel like one, who has nothing to lose. I have observed that how we are being ruled and ruined by rulers. But If you say anarchy, I would retort like this, "Anarchism can be the best option to bring power to warlords". As I experienced with my little brain is, our life is not a dreamland. And I shall declare it to my beloved rulers that I'm no slave and I'm not accustomed to abide those rules.

In my second ink, I wish my realistic thoughts to be explained neatly. Therefore, We have…

Thoughts of an Aug. 9 birthday child

“Hell no, we won’t go!”

60s anti-war slogan

It’s nice to have a birthday in the summer – guaranteed good weather (almost).  My early parties were well attended (everybody home from vacation) and outdoors.  But I know why seniors tend to disregard birthdays: as the number of enjoyed August 9ths gets more numerous, so does the number of anticipated August 9ths shrink.

As a speechwriter, I learned such obscure facts as my shared birthdate with Francis Scott…

About Me

I am pro abortion. This does not mean I am anti-choice or anti-child. I support a being of safe, legal and accessible abortion at any time throughout pregnancy, free of charge, for all those that want it. I defend that abortion is desirable and good ethically. Every child should be born awaited and get the right to grow up loved. Abortion is always a good decision. It is an act of love. Mother's love. Aborted children have better off in heaven. In my book women do not "need" abortion. Women…

Parents

Sorry, have not been on here in while, and this one will be a quick one.  I was recently visiting with my very religious dad. We had dinner and he, of course, said grace. Well he was anoyed that no one "echoed" when he said "amen." Made me think, dang, he is going to figure me out soon.  So far i have been trying to come off as just lazy or just mildly jaded when it comes to church, but i'm sure if he knew about the secret stash of Dawkins books hidden in my room, the poor old dude would…

The Illuminati

people who see themselves as gods amongst people. creators of the greys, destroyers of dreams. the only way you will ever achieve what your heart desires is through them, alas i am not one of those. i live a plain existence and will be their when for all of humanity when they begin their reign. you notice how the A and underscore in the font settings has looks like a pyramid with an eye in the tip of it, food for thought. anyways, hello fellow human beings, have another wonderful and…

Al Gore's Future

I just finished reading The Future by Al Gore. You all know him, right?

The book is about, well, the future. Good book, but somewhat tedious. In summary, according to Gore, the world is in a pickle--in every way, shape, or form. We must act, or else. All in all, pretty depressing. But I'm not here to review the book or his premise.

It occurred to me that he never brought up the subject of religion, acknowledging its role in…

4 AM

4 AM comes again I lie here in bed and look out the window. I stare at the brightest star I can see like I do most nights. I often avoid sleep to avoid dreaming but not sleeping is even worse for me. Being awake I guide my own thoughts is more of a pain than any dream I could have.

I reflect on long talks that never happened. On events that could be and every outcome there could be to them. I reflect on events in my life and what I should have done, what I could have done to make…

Would you read this novel ?

If you will, please read the foreword to a novel that I am writing. I have about 8-10 chapters and would like to self publish this work of mine a chapter or so at a time. I am tired of goofing around with these publishers I am not sure about, so, my hopes are to just give it to you kind folks if I can figure out how to do this ! There's many things I don't, yet, quite understand about my Chromebook, although I like it a lot . My book is about the many missing years of, arguably, one of the…

Poor People Food

"I want grease in my gravy and fatback in my greens"--Doug McCloud

There is a class divide among some blacks in this country that if it weren't for the gravity of the split would otherwise be comical. Over a year ago I heard one of my friends speak of poor people's food in reference to soul specialties like collard…

Blasphemy Laws vs. Free Speech

To the point, blasphemy laws intrude on the right of free speech and reflect a religious affectation meant to control what others say about theologically based matters. The idea of offending religious sensibilities to the point of punishment is in and of itself disgusting and distasteful, but there are venues where such regulations attempt to control any defamation of…
