From my Google blogger Atheism Blog.
A Christian I was debating on Google+ in one of his replies to a post I added on How the universe could have become as it is without a Creator, said that the earth was devoted to destruction, and so I wrote a blog post on my atheism blog on the "devoted to destruction" idea in the Old Testament.
I read this article in today's news and couldn't help but feel positive. Surely it isn't just another way of putting out the "Christian Message", at least I hope it isn't.

So a little while ago I joined the forums at the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (CARM) in the hopes of being able to actually have some productive discussions with Christians rather than the typical troll fests I often have on Sodahead. Ironically enough, there are far more trolls on CARM than there are on Sodahead, but I digress. After a few weeks of extremely bad arguments from the Christians on the forum, I eventually noticed that the vice president of CARM, Diane Sellner,…Continue
While I am a big fan of Court T.V. (Judge Judy is my favorite! Followed by Peoples Court). I occasionally get a yen for something more substantial. To the magical land of Youtube and I found this great 2 hour debate with Stephen Fry, Christopher Hitchens, and a Catholic Priest and a woman involved with the Catholic Church. It was polite, smart, with some smatterings of humor and of course there was the Q&A session at the end.
It's two hours long, but it's a great watch.…

Nobody enjoys a good argument more than I do, especially when I’m right. As a counselor though, I am very much aware that most of the time heated arguments only serve to solidify the position one has already taken. Consider the debates we see on the news. Democrats and Republicans regularly skewer
each other. We never see a Republican say “Gosh! You’re right! What was I thinking all this time?” Likewise, Democrats in debate generally don’t suddenly say “Wow! Reaganomics really…
I am going down to London to go see Sam Harris in an Intelligence Squared debate the "reverand" Dr Giles Fraser, Canon Chancellor of St Paul's Cathedral on the topic of where do our ideas about morality and meaning come from?
The last time I went to one of these it was the now legendary Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry Vs Anne Widdecombe and Archbishop John…Continue
