Okay, so Katie Holmes probably isn't a fanatic like her husband, but since the beginning of Scientology in 1956 which religion -percentage wise due to there being many more catholics- is the most morally objectionable and which one is most likely to screw with your head?
Is it really a good idea to allow theists to start a colony on Mars? I don't think it has come up yet at this early stage, but given the god delusions horrific past, can we risk starting a Mars cult or risk its destruction with mixed religions?
Check out the website if you don't know what I'm talking about, and there's a good FAQ page too.…

I watched an interesting video about how religions/cults survive and how the internet could spell a downward spiral for religion because of the free flow of ideas.
I say good riddance to religion. Science survives in spite of strong scrutiny from all sides who have an incentive to disprove the theory (to gain some intellectual kudos). Science has proven itself to be true. It was science that took man to…
I just sent this to Kristy..but I thought I'd add it here:
I have been joining all the forums etc mainly to throw in my support in terms of the numbers these groups represent. During my life I always expected that secular reasoning had won and we would move slowly but surely to an enlightened society. It has been a great shock over the last decade to see that I was wrong and that a new battle needs to be waged. I never thought "atheism" per se was a subject worth discussing except in… Continue
Hey, sorry I haven't done much with this site yet. I am very glad to be a part of the Atheist Nexus community. It's so comforting, like coming home.
I have been working on YouTube videos detailing my experience with the Worldwide Church of God. If you're interested, I invite you to check them out. Here's a link to my latest video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InaPGWgAlEc
I hope to be posting more on this blog and creating more videos soon! Feel free to ask questions. I would love to… Continue

My mom knows I'm an atheist and that I'm writing a book about her scandalous cult-leading mother. She's bothered by the first and okay with the second. We ended up in a really constructive conversation last night about religious extremism. I told her that I'm planning on marketing my upcoming book to "moderate christians" because I think they need to wake up and take responsibility for the crazies in their flock. Oddly enough, she agrees. She's on the "leadership council" and "planning… Continue
[The following is an excerpt from my upcoming book Exodus from Zion. Once the manuscript is completed, I'll be making an announcement if anyone would like to purchase a copy of the published book.]
Each birth was different, but births were always the same. A phone call. A scramble to pack up Bible, oils, and grandkids. My older brother and sister were attending public school the year the baby ministry was at its zenith. So I would go with Giggy, with my coloring book… Continue
Here is a reason I chosen not to be silent. This story is sad and will touch the inner core of anyone who care about humanity. However, if you are a "God fearing" person and believe that anyone who is not following your God, do have a pit of fire prepared by God, himself, for them; then, you may not be touch by this story.
Those who study the history and development of the christian faith learn about the christian faith and its relationship to… Continue
Being as I live about 20 minutes from the Xcel Center I can't help but go to the Republican Convention next week. I've mentioned in the past that I hope to get some good audio to use for the show (I'll definitely have pictures if nothing else) and I plan to stick to that.
I've been poking around the web and making phone calls to find out who's going to be where and at what time. It seems 11am Monday, on the steps of the capital, is the place to be. A number of groups have coordinated… Continue
