Back ten centuries ago, the Pope decided that all the Muslims had to leave Jerusalem. Naturally there was a big uproar from the Muslim community. So the Pope made a deal. He would have a religious debate with a member of the Muslim community. If the Muslim won the debate, all the Muslims could stay. If the Pope won, all the Muslims would have to leave.
The Muslims realised that they had no choice. They looked around for a champion who could defend their faith, but no one wanted… Continue

MRFF Responds to Military's Denial that U.S. Troops are Proselytizing Muslims
By Chris Rodda
This is taken from Talk 2 Action and here is their web site.
As expected, the U.S. military quickly denied that the video released on Sunday by Al Jazeera is evidence that our troops proselytizing Muslims in Afghanistan, claiming that what was shown in the video was an isolated incident, and that the… Continue

I have been neglecting the e-world for a while. Things have been pretty crazy with me, and I'm plain lazy. I guess I needed a break. Plus I got a new xbox 360 so I've been playing video games like crazy when I should
be studying for my PPL test.
Anyway, I'm on the Council of Ex Muslims forum and there's this really nationalist sounding dude on it. His view is that all Muslims (moderate or not) should be deported to Muslim countries. Wow. That's a pretty stupid thing to say on… Continue

I haven't had time to finish my response to him, but this is what he has been saying to me. Sorry about the weird quoting ways - it's difficult and tedious to quote from wordpress. If you want more clarifications on the discussion, visit http://exmuslimdiaries.wordpress.com where the discussion is being held on the posts 'Post Hijab' and 'Sacred Stupidity' Not that the = indicates things I have said - just the way he has quoted me.
= Since you very kindly listed the problems in… Continue

I was over at Insanna’s blog
commenting on her posts, when I suddenly saw myself get swallowed into a debate with a Muslim.
I am an atheist, a secular humanist. I live a good life, like my atheist friends. I have found that secularism does not hinder the development of this.
Abdullah, a commenter on Insanna’s blog, believes that secularism is the cause of societies ills.
Two world wars, the end justfys the… Continue

The atrocity going on in the Gaza Strip is a prime example of the poison of religion. The death toll is now over 600 including civilians. This is all because of a disagreement of religion. They want this 'sacred' plot of land. We're talking about the massacre of children in a UN school and blatant disregard for 'collateral damage'. People are losing their homes, families and lives over this trivial medieval idea of god. I know its asking a lot but it would be nice for these blind, brainless… Continue

I like this, taken from the BHA:
Live your life based on humanity and reason and recognise that moral values are properly founded on human nature and experience alone. Base decisions on the available evidence and an assessment of the outcomes, not on any dogma or sacred text. Atheism and agnosticism is an active and ethical philosophy far greater than any negative responses to religion. Foster individual rights and freedoms but believe that individual responsibility, social… Continue
