Last week on April 15th I was at the dentists office. Nothing major, just a check up. Well, in this town I’m in FOX is on every TV that’s in a gym or restaurant or waiting room. They won’t turn it on MSNBC nor CNN….but only FOX. Yes, this is a small reactionary town that I’m currently in. In fact, the highway bypasses the place. It use to go through the town, but now it just goes past it.
Well, as you well know, it was the “Tea Bag” day. And of course, those there were calling themselves,… Continue
Last night I was surfing the TV. I came across Preacher Rick Warren talking about dealing with being unemployed. Yup, it was chock full of religion. Funny how he never ever mentioned that in this day and age it is a part of life. And since it is a part of today’s life, one must learn how to deal with it.
Praying after you've lost your job may make you feel better, but it won't help you find a job. Trust me on this, I've been there and known people who've been there.

Metropolitan Baptist Church was bursting out of its home.
From a group of freed slaves in Civil War-era Washington, Metropolitan Baptist had grown into a modern-day megachurch and community service powerhouse. In 2006, construction began on the congregation's dream complex in Largo, Md. — a $30 million campus with a 3,000-seat… Continue

Okay so last Friday was my birthday. And yes, I was born on Friday the 13th. NO, I am not what the movies are based on....wish they were but they aren't...
Anyway went off to Austin with girlfriend to have a good time. A good time was had by all. Yup, if I was a car I'd be considered a classic..or collectible. Maybe both.
Anyway, we're walking back to the car and a couple of homeless guys ask for some money to food. We tell them we're tapped out. One pipes up..."That 'Christian' of… Continue
Having some free time on my hands I decided to waste it surfing the net. So I’ve really gotten into being an atheist lately. Now I’ve been one since I was in the first grade. I was about 6 or 7 at the time so I’m not new at this. And I did try religion when I was in the 3ed grade but it just wasn’t “right” for me.
Now I’ve been exposed to it all my life. Went to a high school run by a Lutheran minister. But he didn’t preach at us. Really he didn’t and he was pretty cool looking back… Continue
Okay, this guys a real Koran pounding ass hole. Now, his father was a Mullah, his brothers were Mullah’s. They rallied against Saddam and paid the price. Saddam had them killed (wished he'd done us all a favor and gotten junior too, but well, one can only wish..).
Now this guy is the baby of the family. He went off to study to be a Mullah. He didn’t even finish the first part. He quit. But I guess when your dad is a honcho in a… Continue
Haggard: 'Inappropriate' relationship not physical
DENVER – Fallen evangelical pastor Ted Haggard says he had an "inappropriate relationship" with a young male church volunteer, but it did not involve physical contact.
Haggard's successor at Colorado Springs' New Life Church, Brady Boyd, has said evidence pointed to an "inappropriate, consensual sexual relationship" between Haggard and the man, who was in his early 20s.
You mostly likely have seen this on the web. It was sent to me by a friend of the family. She really gives them hell. A much deserved hell to in my view.
I have to agree with her on those in the Middle East using the west's science and technology. If you look at that part of the world, they've not had a major scientific or technological break though in over 1,400 years. Prior to Islam they did. Afterwards, little if… Continue

LONDON (AFP) – A poster campaign proclaiming "There's probably no God" does not breach advertising rules, a British watchdog ruled Wednesday after more than 300 people complained.
