We ain't half got it easy in Britain.

While perusing this 'ere site I've seen many posts and blogs discussing 'coming out' as an atheist. Initially I was a tad miffed by this. I knew that the situation in other parts of the world was much worse than it is here but I don't think I realised quite how ghastly it actually is.

Petition to close creationist zoo (UK centric.)

Protest against the 'gay cure' conference, 25/04/2009, 13.00 - 15.00, London

Very, very short notice (I only found out about it this morning via this link a mate posted on Facebook.)

I was god bothered on Sunday morning

I gave as good as I got. I don't think they were expecting someone who knows a little of the Bible and, more importantly, its cultural context (albeit very little. Not much more than I've learned reading Dawkins, Hitchens and watching various rants on the internet!)

I hadn't been god bothered for years and was getting itchy to try out my new found knowledge.

Off they went, twittering in to the mid day sun, Watchtowers flapping impotently in the breeze.
