Exciting and exhausting day at the Los Angeles Book Festival. There are at least 100,000 people who read in this great city. A few more are reading The God Virus or have already read it. We had a lot of Christians come by the booth today, none bought the book, but they all demonstrated their infection very effectively. I was at the Atheist United booth with some other great freethinkers. Got to meet Sikivu Hutchinson who wrote Moral Combat. Very fun day.

If you were not at the American Atheist convention, you missed the best convention of the year, maybe the decade. Best one I have been to in terms of content and energy to say nothing of the excitement around the announcements and developments in the community. At 800 or more people, it was easily the best attended. With what is going on in the community, it is going to get a lot harder for the theocrats to ignore us. Hope you will all consider attending the Reason Rally in Washington, DC… Continue

Enjoyed a very busy and fun four days in Florida speaking at the University of Miami as well as to FLASH and CFI groups. I also conducted a leadership workshop in Ft. Lauderdale that had six groups represented. I think South Florida has some major momentum going right now. Look for them to kick some butt over the next year.

The American Humanist Convention was a blast. I was working with the Secular Student Alliance and really gained a huge appreciation for all they are doing. I'll be speaking at their summer conference as well in July. The new high school initiative under JT Eberhard is already getting amazing results. Fun to see them doing so well and working together so effectively.
