Dusty does a good job of capturing the key points in a coming out conversation with parents. Cult of Dusty

There are now tens of thousands of Atheist Nexus members. It shows how important A/N has become to the community. I would like to ask and encourage you to help Atheist Nexus remain alive and well. If you enjoy this site, remember, it costs to make it available. Take a minute and chip in $5, $10, $20 or more at the "chip in" widget to the right. I give money regularly to A/N because I think it is a valuable service to the community and I know that Brother Richard spends enormous amounts of…Continue

Thanks for all the preorders for Sex and God! As a result, it has risen to #10 in books on sexuality, gender and religion, just below Good News About Sex and Marriage: Answers to Your Honest Questions About Catholic Teaching. after the Catholics finish reading that, they can read Sex and God. Any bets on which will give them more accurate information? It is still below What Wives Wish their Husbands Knew about Sex: A Guide for Christian Men, but I think we will catch up soon!

Video of Jessica answering 10 questions. She is awesome. Brings tears to my eyes to see her courage and poise. As more "Jessica's" stand up, the Christianists will not know what hit them. I hope she inspires law abiding behavior in every Principal in the nation. Wouldn't it be wonderful if school officials actually respected the law.

Spoke at Dennison University last night and much to my surprise, very few knew who the FSM was. As a result, my Pastafarian Sex Prayer went unappreciated, especially by the Christians in the audience. On a plane today back home then off to speak at FSM friendly UN Las Vegas next week.

If Skepticon was any more fun and informative, it would probably be declared illegal! If you missed it, be sure to take a look at some of the talks. The talk on Self Skepticism was one of my favorite by Spencer Greenberg. Videos will probably be up on the website soon at Skepticon IV
The next big event will be the Reason Rally in Washington, DC. I have already made my hotel reservations. If you haven't heard about it, go to…Continue
Han Hills pulled of the first Carolinas leadership convention and it was a huge success. I think it exceeded most people's expectations, certainly mine. The number of connections and ideas shared was amazing. I think it will ignite a whole new level of activism in the Carolinas.

Friends of RR:
Since starting RR, I have seen a huge need for people to get psychological and emotional help recovering from their religious trauma. I frequently get requests from people for a secular therapist in their area. Unfortunately, such a listing does not exist and I have no way of finding a truely secular therapist in a given location. Many people complain that the psychologist the went to was Christian or into Woo Woo New Age stuff and gave them spiritual advice. It is…Continue
