Yep, I can't help myself, nothing is better than going out for a bite to eat and maybe if your lucky a few drinks as well! I have finally channeled my love of food and drinks into something more productive other than adding on a few pounds!

Career Survey

I was wondering if anyone knows of a website where I can do one of those lengthy tests which tell you what careers might be your best choice, they give them to school kids I'm hoping for something relevant to grown ups lol, any ideas?

What the hell is wrong with people?

Today I heard about a single mother who got so fed up with her son playing video games all night that she called the cops on him!! She actually dialed an emergency number and had the police come to parent her son!

I have heard so many STUPID, RECKLESS misuses of 911, from a wrong fast food order to videos games apparently, it's just unbelievable. Do people really think that we have unlimited emergency resources? Do people really believe they can call 911… Continue

Something random I noticed today

So I was watching the news this morning and I saw a story about 3 boys in their early teens that recently found a dead body. They were being interviewed on the news, they stated they didn't think it was "real" but then they soon realized it was and ran for help. The boys seemed to know exactly what the situation was and I feel that they dealt with it in an entirely appropriate manner, they didn't stick around to poke the body, to try and get a close look, they notified police immediately. Their… Continue

Kick a Ginger- Do we Blame Television or Bad Parenting?

"They say blonds have more fun, but it was redheads who might have got a bigger kick on Thursday, dubbed by some as Kick a Ginger Day.

Across the country, school boards had to contend with a joke from an episode of the satirical animated show South Park that has spiralled into a day of promoting violence."

"Gingerism” is a growing concern in the United Kingdom, home to the largest proportion of redheads in the world. In 2003, a young man was stabbed repeatedly over a… Continue

Dogs For Lazy People

So I got to thinking, in the next few years my fiance and I plan on getting a dog (Neither of us are eager to have children, and with him being 40 and all the window of opportunity is closing more and more each day, and I'm alright with that). We have come to terms with the fact that we are homebodies, somewhat lazy individuals, and I'm okay with that too lol. My idea of a good time on most days is just cuddling on the couch to talk, read, watch a movie or whatever the case may be. I decided to… Continue

Is Addiction a Disease?

"Addiction: New research suggests it’s a choice

Drug or alcohol addiction is not a disease, says Harvard psychologist, but a matter of free will"

I find that a lot of what is stated here seems to be reasonable and rational. I for one do not consider addiction a disease, there are others… Continue

God but no Aliens?

With proof of our hundred billion+ galaxy Universe, how can anyone deny the existence of aliens being an extremely high possibility, almost an undeniable truth when we look at the scientific facts? All signs say that somewhere, out there, they exist. But then people can turn around and believe in an invisible sky god with no proof whatsoever? Devoting their lives to it? How is THIS the majority!?!

The thought that this unimaginably huge Universe was created just for us humans offends… Continue

What do you think the solution is?

By now you've probably heard about the "Godless" billboard that was removed after less than 3 days of being up because threats were made to the property owner. Proving Atheist discrimination is alive and well. Something the world doesn't seem to notice often, but is becoming more and more blatantly obvious each day.

What do you feel is the solution for this?

I am at a loss, it seems no matter how hard we fight for Gay rights, Pro choice issues, Atheist equality, it's just… Continue

Godless billboard lasts less than 3 days before religious bigotry tears it down

The "Godless" billboard recently put up in Cincinnati simply stating "Don't believe in God? You are not alone." was removed this morning after less than 3 days of being up, the owner of the property reportedly receiving threats. The billboard has been moved to a new location, but that's not the point. Where is our freedom of speech? Why has there been nothing done to stop these ridiculous threats? Why instead must we move the message? If this was a specific religious group being harassed,… Continue

Hey, this place is awesome!

I haven't done much here as of yet (besides wasting too much time customizing or as the kids say "Pimpin" out my page! haha!) but I can already see this place is far superior to the only other website I'm on, A site supposedly welcoming all people, of all different perspectives, but it's not. If you are liberal, left wing or a non theist you are discriminated against with random post removals and other fun bullshit things. I strongly recommend against joining them, it's… Continue
