A butterfly I designed using Charles Darwin's Finches. The different finch heads and beaks carefully arranged to form an image of a butterfly. The bird's eyes compliment the butterfly's unique wing design.

A concerned prospective father sent me a message asking,
"I'd like to learn something as a good father from you. Considering that you're an atheist, how can teach your children how to behave in good manner and ethic. Because when I was a kid, my parents used to tell me "Be good boy and tidy your room then God will bless you...etc." I don't want to say these words to my children as a prospective father. And i wonder what do you… Continue

style brush painting I created illustrating Stork Theory. Other than the stork's folkloric role as a bringer of babies and harbinger of luck and prosperity, Stork Theory is often used as an example to demonstrate how ridiculous it is to "Teach the Controversy

Dear Jesus, I know you will never get this message as you have been in your grave for some time. However, I like to play make-believe and pretend that you are still well and alive and are reading this message. So… How are you? How have you been? What have you been up to? Hey, do you have any influence over what Santa will bring me this Christmas? He hasn’t brought me anything ever since I moved away from my parents. I have been eating your body and blood, is that cool with you? Did you hear my… Continue

On one hand, theists claim that god gave man free-will and that this omnipotent divinity does not assert its power over ones will and choices (because if it did than one would not have free-will), while on the other hand, some theists simultaneously claim that god answers prayers, performs miracles
, and in general, intervenes. I find these two claims to be rather contradictory. Let’s first define some terms and then… Continue

According to Wikipedia,
“A miracle is a perceptible interruption of the laws of nature, such that can be attempted to be explained by divine intervention, and is sometimes associated with a miracle worker. Some suggest that God may work with the laws of nature to perform what we perceive as miracles. A miracle is often considered… Continue

A picture I took of what appears to be the almighty Flying Spaghetti Monster on my iron. The image has reassured me that life is going to be good.

A female FSM design I created with distinguishing female characteristics such as noodly appendage eyelashes and tender meatball cheeks. The melancholic expression is up to the viewer to imagine its meaning. I thought it was a trait that would be unique and unusual, up for debate, something different then what one would expect from the common stereotypical deity.…

Does atheism define you?
Absolutely not. Atheism doesn't reflect something you are, it reflects something you are not. It is of no substance by itself. Not believing in something doesn't define who you are, just like not believing in fairies doesn't define who you are. Most people are "afairiest," in that they don't believe in fairies. Does your afairiesm define you? Of course not. Have you even heard of the term? Probably not, because it is as meaningless as the term atheism. We can… Continue

leaves, green and vibrant,
the morning dew drips off
serving the thirst of wild geraniums below.
and the leaves begin to wither and die,
to admire the beautiful colors.
Winter, the trees are barren,
the leaves have all fallen off,
and have been mulched
to fertilize the now frozen grass for next year.
the grass is green and healthy again,
and on… Continue

The death-like frigid air
sharpens its blades upon your sputtering lungs
having burrowed its way through twin nasal cavities
it crystallizes your breaths from the inside out.
Suffocating your zephyr with its own,
upon exhale, your life visibly evaporates before you.
And so it was with us that in defense of this nipping assault
with hands split and fractured like dried up ravines
we struggled to even adjust our wooly scarves over each others chapped… Continue
